Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for transcribing patient information from one Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to another, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. As a Clinical Data Entry Specialist, you will play a vital part in preparing patient information for our Epic go-live, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition. Key Responsibilities Transcribe patient information from one EMR system to another with high accuracy and attention to detail Perform data entry of patient information in preparation for Epic go-live, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate Utilize healthcare medical terminology and knowledge to ensure data entry accuracy and consistency Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any data discrepancies or issues Meet productivity and quality standards, ensuring timely completion of data entry tasks Stay up-to-date with EMR system updates and changes, adapting to new processes and procedures as needed Requirements To succeed in this role, you will need: Healthcare medical terminology and/or experience, with a strong understanding of clinical data entry principles and practices Previous experience with EMR systems, preferably Epic, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies Strong data entry skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and administrative staff Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve data discrepancies and issues Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Certification in medical records or health information management, such as CMA or RHIT Experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or medical office Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines, with a strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security Experience with data analytics or quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on improving clinical data entry processes and outcomes Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Technical skills : Proficiency in EMR systems, data entry software, and Microsoft Office applications Communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative staff Analytical skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve data discrepancies and issues Attention to detail : High attention to detail, with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity Time management skills : Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
