Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our remote operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional client service, processing data entry tasks, and supporting our pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, as well as other pharmacy-related tasks, in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Process data entry tasks, including entering patient and medication information, and maintaining accurate records. Provide exceptional client service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Model and promote Walgreens' customer service standards, including a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by management, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for: Greeting customers and patients in a friendly and welcoming manner. Answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Modeling and promoting Walgreens' customer service standards, including a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Creating strong relationships with customers and patients, and providing personalized service to meet their needs. Tasks and Responsibilities In addition to client service and data entry tasks, you'll also be responsible for: Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, as well as other pharmacy-related tasks, in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Processing prescriptions and maintaining accurate records. Handling cash and credit transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system. Performing other duties as assigned by management, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you'll be expected to: Procure and maintain PTCB certification through our assigned PTCB training program, as well as state-required accreditation/enrollment. Attend training and complete PPLs as mentioned by management, and obtain continuing education credits to stay up-to-date on the latest news and developments in healthcare and pharmacy. Stay current on industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our pharmacy operations and services. Fundamental Capabilities To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following fundamental capabilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, patients, and colleagues. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and process data entry tasks efficiently. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications. Preferred Capabilities We're looking for a team member who possesses the following preferred capabilities: Previous experience working in a retail or healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and customer service principles. PTCB certification, with a strong understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations. Excellent numerical skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy software applications and other technology systems.
