Position Overview: Freight Specialist

As a Freight Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight. This entry-level position provides an excellent foundation for a long-term career in logistics and customer service. You will work closely with our operations team to handle various tasks related to freight handling, documentation, and customer communication.

Key Responsibilities


Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service via telephone and in person
Freight Handling: Assist with the loading, unloading, and routing of freight to ensure timely delivery
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and handling instructions
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues
Equipment Operation: Operate relevant equipment and machinery used in freight handling operations
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals and maintain workflow efficiency
Problem Resolution: Address any issues or concerns that arise during freight operations, escalating complex matters as needed

Work Schedule and Requirements

Shifts vary based on operational requirements and may range from early morning to evening hours. Each work location has its own unique flight schedule, which determines the specific timing of shifts. As a full-time team member, you will work approximately 40 hours per week, though hours may be adjusted based on operational needs and your status within the company. This position requires flexibility and adaptability to work varying schedules.

Minimum Requirements

Previous experience in freight cargo and warehouse operations
Strong written and PC skills
Experience in customer service roles
Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations
