About the Job We are seeking experienced and compassionate Campus Immersion Tutors to join our team in Bastrop, TX. As a Campus Immersion Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from diverse backgrounds, working one-on-one or in small groups to provide academic support in various subjects, including Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. Our ideal candidate is a skilled educator with a passion for mentoring and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to support students' academic growth and development Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student support Mentor and tutor students in a face-to-face environment, using a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage and motivate learners Work with up to 15 students at a time, providing individualized attention and support to ensure each student meets their academic goals Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education Essential Qualifications A college degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral) in a relevant subject area, such as Education, Math, Science, or English At least 60 hours of college credit or a certified teaching certification (SBEC or other state licensure) 1-2 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, preferably in a classroom or school environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse student populations and learning styles Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to assigned campuses in Bastrop, TX Ability to pass a background check and provide a valid Social Security Number Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse linguistic backgrounds Previous experience working with migrant students, black students, Hispanic students, or girls in STEM Expertise in Elementary, Middle, and/or High school subjects, with a strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation Familiarity with online platforms and digital tools, including email, texting, Slack, and Google Sheets/Excel A selfless commitment to making a difference in students' lives, with a passion for education and a desire to help students achieve their full potential Skills and Competencies Strong subject matter knowledge in Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading, with the ability to break down complex concepts into engaging and accessible lessons Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and teachers from diverse backgrounds Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to teaching and learning Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities A growth mindset, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our tutors. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.00-$27.00, depending on experience and qualifications. As a contractor, you will receive a W-9 and will be responsible for filing and paying your own taxes. Additionally, you will be eligible for mileage reimbursement or gas cards to support your travel to assigned campuses.
