About the Role
As a Camera Control System Engineer at Google, you'll be instrumental in designing and developing control algorithms and new camera features that enhance the user experience. This is a full-time, remote position with Workwarp, offering a competitive salary of $28/hour. With a focus on camera self-calibration (AF) and optical image stabilization (OIS) systems, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of control algorithms and new camera features for AF and OIS systems, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in camera technology.
Work on camera control systems modeling, analysis, synthesis, and performance, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for failure analysis, driving root cause identification and corrective actions.
Develop the testing and validation plan of the camera control systems, ensuring rigorous testing and validation protocols are in place.
Drive failure analysis and corrective actions, leveraging your expertise to resolve complex technical issues.


Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. Here's what we're looking for:

Essential Qualifications:

A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 3 years of experience in camera-related control system design and development, with a proven track record of innovation and success.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in control systems modeling, analysis, and control algorithm development, with a deep understanding of the underlying principles and technologies.
Experience in camera self-calibration and optical image stabilization, with a strong grasp of the technical challenges and opportunities in these areas.


Skills and Competencies:

Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, with the ability to apply these skills to complex technical problems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and vendors.
