As a Call Center/Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive the support and information they need in a timely and effective manner. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries received by telephone, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), or web-based portal regarding information on programs and services Record customer interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in customer interactions Address customer inquiries and resolve problems to ensure that appropriate changes are made Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation Communicate with supervisor regarding any potential needs or concerns Perform data entry accurately and efficiently Perform other duties as assigned by management Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree is preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information Ability to comply with current and updated policies and procedures Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products Ability to remain in a stationary position for an extended period 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working with government health and human services agencies Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and processes Experience with IVR and web-based customer portals Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse populations Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain accurate records Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and other software applications as required Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze customer interactions, identify trends, and provide insights to improve customer service Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our employees.
