**A Day in the Life**
As a Business Intelligence Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing strategic reports and designing User Interfaces to driving projects that support our teams and influence decision-making across the organization. **Key Responsibilities**
* Scope, design, and build database structure and schema to enable ABCS team members to self-serve
* Create data pipelines using extract, transform, and load (ETL) connections/SQL queries to bring new attributes into the ABCS master database
* Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of arenaflex's data technologies and resources
* Pull data on an ad-hoc basis using SQL queries
* Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and analyses to enable our team to focus on solving ambiguous problems
* Conduct deep dives to identify root causes of pain points and opportunities for improvement
* Work closely with Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) teams to ensure ABCS uses globally standard metrics and definitions
* Collaborate with finance and business partners to gather data and metrics requirements
**Essential Qualifications**
* 5+ years of SQL experience
* 7+ years of professional or military experience
* Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
* Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
* Experience with AWS technologies
* Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
* Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
* Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
**Skills and Competencies**
* Strong understanding of different businesses and customer profiles, as well as the underlying analytics
* Ability to translate business requirements into analysis, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations back to the business
