About the Role In this critical position, you will be part of a Business Intelligence crew dedicated to navigating through billions of data points to provide timely and excellent decision-making support. Collaborating closely with operations and finance teams, you will offer the insights needed to propel our business forward. Key Responsibilities Work with large, complex datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions. This includes creating ETLs or processes that aggregate data from multiple sources into a centralized table. Develop data visualizations to demonstrate and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges, ensuring that insights are actionable and accessible to stakeholders. Engage with team members and cross-functional groups periodically, establishing credibility and analyzing stakeholder needs to share relevant information. This involves partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems. Leverage scripting languages, with Python being the preferred language, to automate reporting tasks such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection. Document processes and share expertise with peers, mentoring them as you become a Subject Matter Expert in your domain. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience). Creativity with a User Experience basis to create impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience). Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to identify and root cause business problems. A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience, is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, ensuring that insights are communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, demonstrating a deep understanding of data analysis and visualization best practices. Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, providing a unique insight into the challenges and opportunities of these sectors. Experience with Python or other scripting languages, showcasing your ability to automate tasks and improve efficiency. Experience with data manipulation tools including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc., highlighting your versatility in handling different data analysis and visualization tools.
