Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a fully remote/virtual position, offering the flexibility to work from home while remaining closely connected to our organizational goals and team objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining productive relationships with travel agency accounts in alignment with corporate sales objectives and initiatives.

This exciting role will join our Outreach team, reporting directly to the Midwest Regional Project Manager for Business Development and Sales. You'll collaborate closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and our Customer Engagement Center to achieve maximum revenue and net profit contributions. How You Will Help Us Deliver Experiences That Matter

Key Responsibilities:

Account Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships while increasing market share with assigned travel agency accounts by promoting and selling arenaflex travel packages and services.
New Business Development: Identify, prospect, evaluate, and initiate new travel agency business opportunities that support company growth objectives and expansion strategies.
Sales Engagement: Conduct sales calls with appropriate agency contacts to deliver arenaflex product and service updates, explore sales-related opportunities, discuss goals, and review company performance metrics.
Partnership Development: Propose and execute partnership collaboration plans, ensuring mutual benefit and profitability for arenaflex while presenting competitive back-end commission arrangements when appropriate.
Strategic Planning: Develop and deliver comprehensive business development plans, including marketing and cooperative advertising strategies for identified key account relationships.
Territory Management: Implement effective time and regional management strategies for assigned agency accounts to maximize coverage and productivity.
Performance Analysis: Evaluate clients' business needs, assess performance metrics, and initiate strategic proposals for growth toward established plan objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with Sales Operations, Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Customer Engagement teams to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

As a Business Development Manager at arenaflex, you'll be expected to demonstrate the following core competencies:

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the travel agency channel
Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective accounts while nurturing existing relationships
Effectively communicate product updates, promotions, and strategic initiatives to agency partners
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning
Represent arenaflex professionally at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Utilize CRM tools and sales analytics to track performance and identify growth opportunities
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of arenaflex products, services, and destination offerings
Contribute to team goals and share best practices with colleagues across regions


Work Environment & Schedule
This full-time position is virtual/remote-based, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office. While the position is not tied to a specific physical location, you'll maintain regular communication with our team and leadership.


Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Standard Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time
Flexibility: Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
Travel Requirements: Domestic and international travel may be required to fulfill assigned responsibilities and attend key meetings or events


What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

Two years of travel industry sales experience is required
Demonstrated strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong mathematical capability with the ability to analyze financial data and metrics
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking styles, and perspectives
High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency required
Must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States
Must have a clean background check and be able to pass drug screening requirements

Capacity to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results under pressure
Excellent communication skills with management, staff, and clients while demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making abilities
Existing relationships with travel agencies or corporate travel managers in the Midwest region
Experience with travel consortiums and cooperative marketing programs
Knowledge of international travel markets and destination offerings
