Our team is passionate about creating a seamless customer experience, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this exciting journey. **Job Summary** We're seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Data Associate (MLDA) Specialist with native-level Portuguese skills to drive PortuguesetoEnglish and EnglishtoPortuguese machine translation improvements. As a key member of our Global Product Management team, you'll work closely with Program and Product Managers to determine opportunities for optimizing the quality auditing and machine translation improvement processes. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Auditing cross-language interactions on text-based channels to review and assess the quality of machine translations in each direction * Informing on the highest priority machine translation improvement opportunities to enhance the customer experience * Collaborating with Program and Product Managers to determine opportunities for optimizing the quality auditing and machine translation improvement processes * Augmenting the customer experience through product testing and executing the machine learning roadmap for the product **Key Responsibilities** * Native-level translation and localization skills in Portuguese * Proficiency in testing and content reading in Portuguese with the ability to document outcomes in English for stakeholders * Utilization of Portuguese skills to support internal and external customers and related products * Competence in navigating various internal tools to understand the customer journey * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and willingness to change priorities on short notice * Must be fluent in Portuguese and English **A Day in the Life** As a Machine Learning Data Associate (MLDA) Specialist, your daily activities will include: * Localization/Translation: Utilizing your native-level Portuguese skills to support internal and external customers and related products * Testing various workstreams: Collaborating with Program and Product Managers to determine opportunities for optimizing the quality auditing and machine translation improvement processes * Contact Reading in native language while documenting findings in English: Reviewing and assessing the quality of machine translations in each direction * Stakeholder management: Informing on the highest priority machine translation improvement opportunities to enhance the customer experience **Benefits Summary** blithequark offers a comprehensive range of benefits that support you and your eligible family members, including: * Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage * Maternity and Parental Leave Options * Paid Time Off (PTO) * 401(k) Plan * A full range of medical, financial, and other benefits **About the Team** Our Omni MLDA team is a division of Customer Engagement Technologies (CET) partnering with key stakeholders to: * Automate customer service processes * Enhance the end-to-end customer experience * Drive innovation and growth through machine learning and artificial intelligence **Requirements** * Fluency in Portuguese and English (verbal and written communication) * 1 year's business experience in localization and translation * Strong attention to details * Exceptional communication skills * Customer service experience * Experience working in complex and frequently changing environments * Ability to interpret customer need and frame it as clear requirements * Project planning experience, including project scoping, deadlines, backlog maintenance, and reporting * Bachelor's Degree * Practical knowledge of data processing needs and tradeoffs * Experience working with machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language understanding, and data **Compensation** Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $32,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $70,000/year in our highest geographic market.
