As a key member of our collections team, you'll be responsible for responding to borrowers via different digital communication channels, collecting past due payments, and providing appropriate payment solutions to cure borrower's delinquency. This role requires a unique blend of communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals. **Key Responsibilities:** * Communicate with delinquent borrowers via different digital communication channels, including live chat and email * Find solutions to help bring borrower's loans to a current status, using your negotiation and persuasion skills to resolve payment disputes * Process payments for borrowers with past due payments, ensuring accurate and timely collection of funds * Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals, working closely with our collections team to achieve our targets * Record and track all interactions with delinquent account customers, including contacts and payments collected **Essential Qualifications:** * 1-2 years of direct experience in credit and collections, with a strong understanding of sales, negotiation, and persuasion tools * Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise messages to borrowers * Prior experience with financial products, preferably in a collections or customer service role * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook * Self-motivated and extremely goal-oriented, with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced collections environment * Team Player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Professional demeanor, with a strong commitment to customer service and respect for borrowers **Preferred Qualifications:** * Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with borrowers in both languages * Experience using live chat to assist customers, preferably in a financial services or collections environment * Familiarity with financial software and systems, including loan management and collections platforms **Work Environment and Culture:** As a remote employee of blithequark, you'll have the flexibility to work from home and enjoy a comfortable, productive work environment.
