Our bakery department is a critical component of our operations, providing fresh baked goods daily to our members. Key Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively with team members, and be flexible to meet the business needs by working in other areas as required. Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment, following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality. Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items, and eliminating waste. Be a Talent Ambassador: Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience, modeling high-quality service and products, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Provide exceptional customer service to members, answering their questions and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members, creating a welcoming environment. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you must: Be at least 18 years of age or older. Be able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. Be willing to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, having previous experience in a bakery or retail environment, knowledge of baking operations, and familiarity with digital tools can be advantageous.
