About the Role We're looking for a skilled and experienced Sound Lead to assist us in building a new AAA multi-stage game. This is an extraordinary opportunity to convey a great, sincerely full, signature sound insight for one of Netflix's original internally developed unique games. As an Audio Lead, you will play a crucial role in defining the sound vision for the game and leading the work to bring this vision to life. Key Responsibilities Work intimately with the Creative Director and Design Director to define the sound vision for the game, and then lead the work to realize this vision. Drive the creation of audio effects, music, character dialogue, and all other sound content to deliver a vivid and emotionally captivating experience. Lead the cross-discipline collaboration to spec, build, and tune all sound systems, working particularly closely with the design and engineering teams. Implement content in Unreal Engine, from quick prototypes to robust live content. Manage and guide other sound colleagues as well as manage relationships with vendors and other external partners. Leverage playtest, user research, and other data to create a game experience that resonates deeply with our players. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as sound design, audio engineering, or music composition. Experience with industry-standard sound tools like Wwise, Pro Tools, and other audio software. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, particularly with a remote team. Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage sound production that depends heavily on vendors and other external partners. A growth mindset and enthusiasm for solving complex problems with others. A passion for mastering new skills, serving players, and delivering a high-quality experience. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working on AAA games or other high-profile audio projects. Knowledge of Unreal Engine and its audio implementation tools. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git. Experience with sound design, composition, and implementation for interactive media.
