We are now seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Audio Data Contributors for Arabic language projects, focusing on non-native speakers who have learned Arabic as a second language. Project Overview: Zaatar Speech Collection The Zaatar Speech Collection project aims to enhance the functionality of Arabic voice recognition technologies used in educational platforms. We are looking for parents or guardians with children between the ages of 7 to 17 who have studied or are learning Arabic as a second language. Each child will be required to record a series of sentences in Arabic using our mobile application, DataForce Contribute. The parents or legal guardians will be provided with project guidelines, scripts to be read, and instructions on how to download and use our app. Key Responsibilities Register your child(ren) for the project and sign the Parental Consent Form. Download and use the DataForce Contribute mobile application to record your child(ren) reading the provided scripts in Arabic. Ensure your child(ren) complete the recording sessions as per the project guidelines. Collaborate with our team to address any questions or concerns you may have during the project. Eligibility Criteria To participate in this project, your child(ren) must meet the following qualifying criteria: Be between 7 to 17 years old. Have studied or be learning Arabic as a second language. The parent or legal guardian must have a smartphone device to download our app and use it for recording. Compensation and Benefits We offer competitive compensation for your time and effort. The payment structure is as follows: Children aged 7 to 17 years: $12 USD per session, with a total of 3 sessions. If all sessions are completed, the total payment will be $36 USD. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should: Be a non-native Arabic speaker who has learned Arabic as a second language. Have a child(ren) between the ages of 7 to 17 who has studied or is learning Arabic as a second language. Be able to download and use our mobile application, DataForce Contribute. Be available to complete the recording sessions as per the project guidelines. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in data collection or voice recording projects.
