Job Overview and Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, prototyping, and demonstrating new features and components of front-end and back-end systems to ensure compliance with requirements. You will collaborate with technical teams, business groups, and product managers to ensure that the code developed meets their vision. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in designing, prototyping, and demonstrating new features and components of front-end and back-end systems to ensure compliance with requirements
Supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of related processes, tools, and workflows
Collaborating with technical teams, business groups, and product managers to ensure that the code developed meets their vision
Working on a team that crafts solutions to meet functional and technical requirements
Aligning to security/compliance frameworks and controls requirements
Writing automated tests, preferably before writing code
Writing code and restoring problems from the development phase through the production segment


Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:

0-2 years of experience, education, or training in computer science, software engineering, or information systems
Applicable technologies include Java/J2EE development, JavaScript, Angular 5+, RESTful APIs, and microservices with Springboot
Strong analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills
Expertise in various software development life cycles, including Agile
Ability to work well with others in a time-sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision
High school degree, GED, or high school equivalency
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority


Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related technical field
Experience working in an airline-technology environment
Experience working with DevOps principles, practices, and tools in enterprise technology environments
Knowledge of software programs within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure or other cloud solution
