Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Associate Faculty - Industrial Systems and Manufacturing Instructor to join our team of dedicated educators. As an Associate Faculty member, you will play a critical role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the growth and development of our industrial systems and manufacturing program. Key Responsibilities Prepare and teach assigned courses in industrial systems and manufacturing, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems, mechanical power transmission, instrumentation, and industrial safety Utilize best practices for teaching, engaging, and motivating students to succeed, including the use of technology and innovative instructional methods Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support to students as needed Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning outcomes and program effectiveness Collaborate with other faculty and staff to develop and implement curriculum and program initiatives Participate in departmental and institutional meetings and activities, including faculty development and training opportunities Essential Qualifications To be considered for this position, you must have: An associate's degree in a relevant field, such as manufacturing, maintenance mechanic, electrical maintenance, or a related field At least three years of professional experience in industry or a related field Experience working with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ability, and ethnic backgrounds Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff Desirable Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience teaching at a community college or in a related educational setting Experience implementing innovative teaching and training methods and strategies to improve student success and retention Experience with online learning, hybrid courses, video conferencing, and learning management systems (LMS) Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess: Strong knowledge of industrial systems and manufacturing principles and practices Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At BBCC, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our faculty and staff.
