Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Associate Director of Technology to lead and drive the innovation initiatives of the company. As an Associate Director of Technology, you will be responsible for investing in the future of Southwest's employees by driving and advocating for the Technology Operations Group as they support the delivery of all innovation initiatives. You will provide a team-centered approach to the innovation initiative and drive your team to apply division/venture business knowledge to ensure value alignment. Key Responsibilities Lead and drive the innovation initiatives of the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies. Provide a team-centered approach to the innovation initiative, driving and advocating for the Technology Operations Group. Develop and execute strategies and processes to improve performance and the value of products and services provided. Lead a cross-functional team to deliver solutions and services that meet or exceed customer requirements. Drive and see through to resolution organization, team, and individual issues. Participate in organizational processes and initiatives, such as performance management, meetings, planning, training, and more. Provide technical thought leadership initiatives related to the assigned functional area. Deliver innovation solutions using best practices to achieve maximum team productivity while delivering high-quality products. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, processes, and solutions related to assigned liabilities. Build strong, collaborative relationships and credibility while influencing and driving change across particular Business and Innovation teams. Requirements Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in a business and/or information technology environment. Immediate or indirect leadership experience. Wide knowledge of business/leadership principles, including planning, organizing, developing, and managing. Knowledge of technology practices, concepts, methods, tools, and trends. Skilled in partnering and communication to facilitate collaborations with business clients and technology teams. Ability to use appropriate motivation and influence techniques to achieve desired team results. Ability to set and manage partner expectations. Ability to deliver quality projects on time and within budget. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Linux and Unix. Knowledge of capacity planning. Skills and Competencies Wide knowledge of business and the ability to provide strategic guidance to mentor and develop the team to improve knowledge of business applications and their impact on business capabilities. Ability to work in a matrixed environment that includes employees, vendors, and managed services. Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with adequate speed and accuracy to meet the needs of the job.
