Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering advanced quantitative analyses and models using operations research, statistical, machine learning, product management, and programming skills. Your primary goal will be to drive navigation and actions, either by experts or by systems, and to identify significant new insights in data that can be leveraged to capture value. You will work closely with various teams within the PRM division to understand business issues, research, and deliver solutions ranging from process automation to identifying new insights in data.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and deliver advanced quantitative analyses and models using operations research, statistical, machine learning, product management, and programming skills to drive navigation and actions
Utilize data engineering and programming skills to clean data, create data streams and pipelines for models to run, and deploy them to production
Collaborate with partner teams (pricing, yield management, subsidiary, etc.) to deeply understand the issues being addressed and improve existing and create new production models and automated solutions
Present and share the results of analyses and models with stakeholders, including upper-level management
Work extensively in Python, SQL, or other coding languages
Develop hypotheses to test and understand what can and cannot be inferred from the results
Mentor and collaborate with other colleagues
Develop and maintain code standards, participate in code reviews, and document workflows, models, and code
Assist with reporting on an ad-hoc basis


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or other systematically focused programs is preferred. You should have prior professional experience using SQL, Python, R, or other coding languages, as well as statistical analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

0-2 years of relevant professional experience
Experience in airline pricing, yield or revenue management, revenue analysis, revenue systems, or a similar role is preferred
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or other systematically focused programs


Skills and Competencies
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate a proven ability to perform quantitative analysis and model development independently. You should be able to apply concepts from economics and pricing management to coding models and analytical products. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as you will need to present insights and actions to upper management effectively. You should also possess a strong understanding of operations research, statistical, machine learning, product management, or programming solutions and procedures.
