About the Department of Biology The Department of Biology at the University of Texas Arlington invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Biology position. The department offers bachelor of science degrees in biology, microbiology, and medical technology, and a bachelor of arts degree in biology. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Professor of Instruction in Biology to teach Anatomy and Physiology, general biology courses for pre-health students and biology majors, and other courses as needed. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Biology or a closely related field, experience teaching large classes, the ability to work successfully in a team-teaching arrangement, and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level utilizing active learning and innovative pedagogies.
