As an Assistant Night Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you'll play a key role in overseeing club operations, leading the overnight team, and driving business results. About the Role The Assistant Night Manager (ANM) is a critical leadership position that oversees the club and directs the work of the overnight team in the absence of the Night Manager. As an ANM, you'll be responsible for coaching, teaching, and developing overnight team members to ensure excellent member service through effective merchandising. You'll lead through change, model leadership competencies, and build credibility to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Leadership: Exhibit strategic thinking and sound decision-making using business data. Model leadership competencies and build credibility. Communicate effectively and provide information teams require to be successful. Build high-performing teams by creating a culture of collaboration. Team Members: Teach, coach, and lead through the club level training process. Support team member engagement and drive a culture of development. Acknowledge team member success and identify top talent. Members: Guarantee service excellence through all points of contact. Set service standard expectations for all team members. Provide team support and empowerment to resolve every member concern. Club Standards: Lead teams to deliver GOLD club standards daily. Define and model GOLD standards. Maintain visible accurate signage and ensure a clean and organized club. Major Tasks and Responsibilities: Supervise the club and overnight team members in the absence of the Night Manager. Model and provide excellent member service. Train, coach, motivate, and evaluate overnight team members. Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and available for sale. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful as an Assistant Night Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you'll need: A valid driver's license. Forklift operator certification (will be certified by BJ's). At least 18 years of age. Prior forklift operating and merchandising experience. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including supervising cross-functional teams and driving results. High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or big box wholesale, retail, grocery, and/or management experience preferred. Open shift availability required. Work Environment As an Assistant Night Manager, you'll work in a fast-paced warehouse club environment that requires standing, moving, and lifting. You'll be exposed to moving machinery, loud equipment, and occasional temperature extremes. You'll also be required to operate a forklift and perform other tasks that require physical stamina. Compensation The pay range for this position is starting from $20.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
