About the Role We are seeking an experienced Art Teacher to join our team of passionate educators. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction to K-12 students, providing live support and guidance, and managing the learning process to meet each student's individual needs. This is a part-time position, and hours will be determined by your supervisor. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality online instruction to K-12 students in Art, including live lessons, support, and guidance. Manage the learning process to meet each student's individual needs, using Stride's learning management system. Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet student needs. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrators to support student success. Participate in weekly teacher conference calls with Academic Administrators and attend virtual staff meetings. Develop and maintain student academic progress records, generate formal reports, and alert school administrators of any concerns about student progress and attendance. Organize orientation, training, social, and educational activities for students and families, and create a monthly newsletter or updated website. Assess students per policy, work with administration to prepare students for state assessments, and serve as proctors for site-based proctored exams when needed. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field. One (1) year of industry experience leading to certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate State and subject (Art) teaching certification. Strong content and subject-matter knowledge in Art Education. Ability to support and guide adults as well as students. Excellent knowledge of motivational techniques, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft Office and web proficiency. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Ability to pass required background check. Desired Qualifications Experience as an online learner. Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database. Project-Based Learning training. Experience teaching in a virtual setting. Equipment and System Requirements Internet service with modem/router is a requirement. High-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25Mbps download speed and 5Mbps upload speed. Compensation and Benefits Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market, and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate this position will pay between $20.00 - $30.00 per hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors.
