Your key responsibilities will include: Promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing within your team and across the site Analyzing and implementing corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are at consistently high levels Supporting and leading a team, handling administrative work, and building and supporting a strong team culture Analyzing performance and suggesting process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service Promoting best practices and continuous process improvements across your team in areas like health and safety and productivity Collaborating with other managers to standardize shift processes and drive operational efficiency A Day in the Life of an Area Shift Manager As an Area Shift Manager, your days will be filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites, where you will maintain safety standards, monitor and maintain process efficiency, and prioritize routine team management and daily operational tasks. You will also be involved in individual escalations, process improvement work, and wide-scale operational contingency planning. Your ability to work flexibly, think critically, and communicate effectively will be essential in this role. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of experience in a similar role 2+ years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities 1+ year of direct management experience for employees and their performance English Intermediate-Advanced (B2+) Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal Preferred qualifications include: MBA or similar Experience using Lean manufacturing methodologies Previous experience as Project Management Experience managing department's KPIs and driven results Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation, or related Logistics Background from Operations environment, preferably from First-Middle Mile Ops Advanced English Proficiency (C1+) Skills and Competencies Required for Success To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
