**Key Responsibilities and Job Elements**

As an Area Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of hourly workforce and driving operational excellence across our fulfillment network. Your key responsibilities will include:

* **Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce**: You'll be responsible for leading and developing your team, providing guidance and support to ensure they're equipped to meet our high standards.
* **Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises**: You'll work closely with our support teams to develop plans and strategies to meet our business objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
* **Collaborate with all support teams**: You'll work closely with our Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources teams to develop plans and strategies to meet our business objectives.
* **Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach**: You'll be required to perform physical tasks as part of your role, including lifting and moving packages.
* **Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts**: You'll be required to stand and walk for extended periods as part of your role.
* **Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud**: You'll be working in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels.
* **Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather**: You'll be working in an environment that's subject to changing temperatures and weather conditions.
* **Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)**: You'll be required to climb and descend stairs as part of your role.

**Essential Qualifications**

* **High school diploma or equivalent**: You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent to be considered for this role.
* **2+ years of experience in a leadership or management role**: You'll need at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role to be considered for this position.
* **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills**: You'll need strong communication and interpersonal skills to be successful in this role.
* **Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**: You'll need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels and changing temperatures.
* **Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach**: You'll need to be able to perform physical tasks as part of your role.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* **Bachelor's degree in a related field**: A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or operations management, is preferred.
* **Experience in a customer-facing role**: Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
* **Experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment**: Experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment is preferred.
