Experienced Area Installation Specialist – Customer Experience and Technical Expertise for Home Improvement Projects

Job Overview and Purpose The Area Installation Specialist (AIS) plays a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a seamless and satisfactory experience throughout the installation process. As an AIS, you will be responsible for managing the installation life cycle, from initial assessment to project completion. Your technical expertise, communication skills, and customer focus will be essential in resolving issues, managing service providers, and ensuring that our installations meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities and Expectations Customer Experience (25%): Initiate and maintain regular communication with customers, ensuring timely follow-up and resolving open questions or job changes. Manage open services and assigned Care Tickets to resolution, and escalate decisions as necessary. Job Process Management (60%): Manage all jobs from assigned area and product category, including assessing pre-existing conditions, performing product affirmations, and conducting technical measures. Perform Job Site Inspections (JSIs) to review quality of work, conduct service provider badge checks, and meet with customers to ensure the install experience meets THD standards. Operations (15%): Assist in managing customer inquiries, resolve open services, and resolve jobs-on-hold. Initiate change of scope requests to drive efficient job life-cycle timelines, and use reporting and related systems to provide overall customer experience and accuracy at install. Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you must: Be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States Pass pre-employment tests if applicable Have a minimum of 5 years of work experience, with preferred experience in the construction/home improvement industry or managing residential home improvement install projects Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job Preferred Qualifications and Skills We are looking for candidates with: Construction/home improvement industry experience or prior experience managing residential home improvement install projects Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Business acumen and problem-solving skills Collaborative leadership skills with a strong value on partnerships Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At The Home Depot, we are committed to the growth and development of our associates.
