About the Role We are looking for warm, caring, and patient Part Time Teachers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children. As a Part Time Teacher at Carriage House Day Care Center, you will play a vital role in encouraging the health, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of the children in our facility. You will design and implement engaging lesson plans, provide basic care and caregiving activities, and use a wide range of teaching methods to enhance the child's abilities. Key Responsibilities Design and follow a schedule of activities and discover age-appropriate teaching materials and activities Provide basic care and caregiving activities, including feeding, toileting, and putting children to sleep Use a wide range of teaching methods (play, stories, media, outdoor games, art, music, etc.) to enhance the child's abilities and promote learning Implement Classroom management strategies that guide children's behavior in a positive manner and promote a safe and respectful learning environment Establish and maintain daily communication with parents, including parent conferences, updates on curriculum, and special classroom events Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and special events as needed to stay up-to-date on best practices and center initiatives Provide documentation of Professional Development each year, including at least 1% of annual hours worked Complete required Care 4 Kids Health and Safety Training and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of child growth and development, as well as knowledge of appropriate practices in early childhood education. You will also need to be able to plan and implement age-appropriate educational programming, including designing and implementing engaging lesson plans and activities. The following qualifications are required: Knowledge of child growth and development and appropriate practices in early childhood education Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate educational programming Availability to work each weekday, afternoon hours (2:00/3:00pm - 6:00pm) Completion of background checks, physical, and TB test prior to starting Knowledge of OEC licensing regulations and requirements Completion of Care 4 Kids orientation requirement within 3 months of hire Preference will be given to applicants who are 18 years and older and have previous experience working in early childhood education.
