About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Middle School Science Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive science lesson plans that align with state and national standards
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
Utilize instructional best practices to engage middle level students in learning, including hands-on activities, experiments, and projects
Assess student progress and use data-driven decision-making to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in their child's education
Desired Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
Current MN K-6 teaching license, with 5-8 Science endorsement preferred, or 5-12 Science license
Understanding of middle school philosophy and the teaming concept
Knowledge of state and national standards in the area of Science
Experience in utilizing instructional best practices to engage middle level students in learning
Understanding and experience in assessment and data-driven decision-making
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Strong subject matter knowledge and expertise in science education
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
