About the Position
We are seeking two experienced and passionate K-3 In-Building Teaching Substitutes to join our team for the 2023-24 school year. As a substitute teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity of our students' education and providing a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
As a K-3 In-Building Teaching Substitute, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and standards
Providing instruction to students in grades K-3, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction to meet the needs of individual students
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community
Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
Ohio State Certification as a Grade K-3 Teacher
Experience working with students in grades K-3, preferably in a substitute teaching role
Strong knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts
Ability to use technology, including educational software and online resources
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Ohio State Certification in the appropriate grade level
Experience working with students with special needs
Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis
Experience with classroom management and behavior intervention strategies
