Job Overview
We are looking for highly motivated and skilled Elementary Teachers who are passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of their students. As an Elementary Teacher with our organization, you will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of your students. You will plan and implement personalized programs of study, encourage students to set and maintain high standards of behavior, and provide rigorous instruction that is measured by dynamic assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students
Plan and implement a personalized program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students
Encourage students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior
Provide a standards-based, content-aligned learning framework that establishes clear goals and objectives for all lessons, units, and projects
Prepare rigorous instruction measured by dynamic assessment for assigned classes and maintain evidence of preparation
Strive to implement the district's mission statement through the routine use of high-yield strategies for instruction, environment, and social-emotional learning
Employ a variety of evidence-based instructional techniques and strategies that are culturally responsive
Engage families to support student achievement and communicate individual social-emotional and academic progress in a two-way, non-threatening manner
Collaborate with the student support team to support student behavioral and mental health needs and set and maintain appropriate standards of classroom behavior
Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess or be eligible for a valid Delaware teaching license and be certified as an Elementary Teacher in accordance with 14 Del. C. 1521. Additional certification in Special Education of Students with Disabilities per 14 Del. C. 1571 is preferred. You must also have strong content knowledge of elementary education, including special education, and be able to perform essential job functions, including exerting between 20-50 lbs of force.

Strong knowledge of elementary education curriculum and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
