About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Elementary Educator to fill a long-term substitute position for 3rd grade at Chanhassen Elementary. As a key member of our school community, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence, creativity, and social growth. Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons to 3rd-grade students, aligned with state and national standards
Assess student progress, identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted interventions to support student learning
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional learning, respect, and empathy
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and share best practices
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in their child's education
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in elementary education and contribute to the growth and development of our school community


Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a valid State of Minnesota License in Elementary Education K-6. You will also need to demonstrate a strong understanding of elementary education principles, practices, and methodologies, as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Essential Qualifications

Valid State of Minnesota License in Elementary Education K-6
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
Proven experience in teaching 3rd grade or a related grade level
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds


Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and instructional design
Knowledge of technology integration, educational software, and digital tools
Experience with project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and universal design for learning
Bilingual or multilingual skills
