About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Girls Flag Coach to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year. As a coach, you will play a vital role in shaping the athletic experience of our students, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance the skills and performance of student-athletes Organize and prepare practice schedules, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment Foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and good sportsmanship, promoting positive relationships among team members, parents, and the community Stay up-to-date with PIAA and NFHS rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and fairness in all aspects of the game Provide guidance, support, and feedback to student-athletes, helping them develop their individual and team fundamentals Cultivate strong relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed about team activities, schedules, and progress Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Extensive knowledge of flag football rules, regulations, and strategies Proven experience in coaching or playing flag football at a high school or collegiate level Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to develop and implement effective practice plans, promoting skill development and teamwork Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Commitment to promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and sportsmanship Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with student-athletes from diverse backgrounds and abilities Knowledge of athletic training principles, including injury prevention and management Familiarity with PIAA and NFHS rules and regulations, as well as other relevant governing bodies Experience with team management software, such as scheduling and communication tools First aid and CPR certification Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Leadership : Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide student-athletes, promoting a positive and productive team culture Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and other stakeholders Organizational : Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines Technical : Knowledge of flag football rules, regulations, and strategies, as well as experience with team management software and other relevant tools Interpersonal : Ability to build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding Career Growth and Learning Benefits As a member of our team, you will have access to a range of career growth and learning benefits, including: Professional development opportunities, such as coaching clinics, workshops, and conferences Mentorship and support from experienced coaches and athletic administrators Opportunities to network with other coaches and athletic professionals, sharing best practices and ideas Access to cutting-edge athletic facilities and equipment, promoting a safe and productive learning environment Work Environment and Company Culture Our district is committed to fostering a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
