We are seeking an exceptional Analyst/Programmer to join our College Centralized Information Technology team and contribute to the success of our university community. Job Summary We are excited to announce an Analyst/Programmer - Career opportunity in our College Centralized Information Technology team. As an Analyst/Programmer, you will play a critical role in providing information technology support to the faculty, staff, and users of the Pollak Library. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting library systems, developing code, and modifying software to meet the needs of our users. You will work independently and collaboratively with our team to provide ongoing programming and operational support for both Public Services and Collections & Scholarly Communications. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support library systems to ensure minimal downtime or loss of productivity and service Develop code or modify software to provide solutions that meet the needs of our users Work proactively to provide ongoing programming and operational support for both Public Services and Collections & Scholarly Communications Learn, implement, and provide ongoing programming and operational support for the varied applications used by the library Maintain the library's web presence, adhering to campus accessibility guidelines Collaborate with our team to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions Provide technical support and training to library staff and users as needed Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in information technology and make recommendations for implementation Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field Two years of relevant full-time experience or the equivalent part-time experience Functional knowledge of the specialty area demonstrated by an understanding and use of advanced principles and theories Ability to integrate work-related knowledge to address problems Demonstrated competency in applying standard and non-standard technology applications and exploring and adapting to changing technology Ability to independently apply technical judgment, recognize problems, use reasoning and logic to establish possible causes, interpret and apply theories and principles, generate alternative solutions, and implement a plan of action for the best resolution Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience working in an academic technology environment or academic library Functional knowledge of enterprise applications demonstrated by an understanding and use of advanced principles and theories Ability to work efficiently as an independent contributor and as a team member on shared projects Possession of strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets Knowledge of HTML 5/CSS (2&3), XML, JSON, JavaScript, PHP, .Net, IIS, current Windows Server, Windows SQL Server, Linux, Apache, Git, and an understanding of website compliancy requirements to meet section 508/504 and WCAG 2.0 and higher standards Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Strong technical skills, including programming languages and software applications Ability to adapt to changing technology and priorities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At CSUF, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
