About the Role: Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate As an Amazon Warehouse Associate, you'll be part of a dynamic team that gets orders ready for customers relying on Amazon services. Our fast-paced, physical roles take place in a variety of areas, including merch, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. You'll be responsible for selecting, packing, and shipping orders – in some cases, for our super-fast (2-hour or less) delivery service. Key Responsibilities: Receive and put away inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and storage Get customer orders ready and pack them up with care, meeting quality and production standards Load boxes into trucks for shipment, ensuring timely and efficient delivery Use scanners to read bar codes on products, verifying accuracy and troubleshooting issues View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks, adapting to changing priorities and workflows Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet, with equipment training and certification provided free of cost Lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts up to 60 pounds, and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts, demonstrating physical stamina and flexibility Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around, optimizing workflow and efficiency Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards, contributing to a safe and productive work environment Essential Qualifications: To succeed as an Amazon Warehouse Associate, you'll need: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and workflows Physical stamina to lift, push, pull, and stand for long periods Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology and systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge: Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes Certification in operating power industrial trucks (PIT) or other relevant equipment High school diploma or equivalent What to Expect at an Amazon Fulfillment Center Our fulfillment centers are dynamic and fast-paced environments. Here's what you can expect: Safety first: We prioritize your safety, providing protective gear and encouraging daily safety tips and sharing among teams. Moving machines: You'll work around order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts, requiring attention to safety and situational awareness. Variable temperatures: Temperatures can range from 60°F to 90°F in some areas, with potential for higher temperatures in the truck yard or inside trailers. Noise levels: It can get noisy at times, with hearing protection available if needed. Relaxed dress code: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required, with protective safety footwear required in select business units.
