About Amazon's Warehouse Operations

Amazon's warehouses are designed to be fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our fulfillment operations run smoothly, from receiving and processing inventory to preparing customer orders for shipment. Our warehouses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including scanners, power industrial trucks, and other equipment to support your work.

Key Responsibilities:


Receive and process inventory, including unloading trucks, scanning items, and storing them in designated areas
Prepare customer orders for shipment, including picking and packing items, and loading boxes into trucks
Use scanners to read bar codes on products and follow prompts on screens to complete tasks
Troubleshoot problems, such as inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions
Ensure product meets quality requirements, including inspecting items for damage or defects
Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification provided)
Lift up to 49 pounds, push utility carts up to 60 pounds, and stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards


Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed as a Warehouse Associate, you'll need:


A high school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate's degree preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work at heights
Basic computer skills, including ability to use scanners and follow prompts on screens
Availability to work flexible schedules, including full-time, reduced-time, and part-time shifts


Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with:


Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Experience with power industrial trucks (PIT) or other equipment
Knowledge of inventory management or logistics operations
Certifications or training in areas such as forklift operation or safety procedures
