Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our airport ground handling services. Your primary responsibilities will include safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. You will also be responsible for operating ground equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, and using baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations. Some of your daily tasks will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather Operating ground equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors, in areas of congestion Using baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customers' destinations Guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions Work Schedule and Environment As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you can expect to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts. Your schedule will be based on operational needs, and you can expect to work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority.
