As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time, while also providing exceptional customer service and support. Key Responsibilities and Work Tasks As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, your daily tasks will include a range of physical and operational activities, such as: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. These tasks will require you to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often in harsh weather conditions, and to prioritize safety and security at all times. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our ground handling activities, and to provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Scheduling and Work Environment As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you can expect to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts, depending on operational needs. You will typically work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods. Compensation and Benefits At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly rate of $16.55, with regular pay increases over a period of 10.5 years. Minimum Qualifications To be successful as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. Have a valid driver's license. Be proficient in English. Pass a physical ability test (PAT) to ensure you can perform the physical demands of the job. Be willing to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
