Job Summary
As the first point of contact for passengers, our Airport Customer Service Agents play a vital role in creating a positive and lasting impression of arenaflex. This dynamic role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including checking in and ticketing passengers, escorting passengers to and from aircraft, and resolving customer complaints. To succeed in this position, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, be proficient in the use of computers, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with time constraints. As a representative of arenaflex, you will be expected to consistently display a professional and positive image, ensuring that every passenger feels welcome and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Able to greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person, providing personalized support and resolving any issues that may arise.
Announce both incoming and outbound flights, ensuring that passengers are informed and up-to-date on flight information.
Handle credit cards and personal check transactions with accuracy, properly accounting for all collections and conducting the appropriate airline close-out procedures.
Accept and process checked baggage, weighing up to 100 lbs., and place it on conveyor belts, ensuring that all baggage is handled safely and efficiently.
Operate jetways to position them prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors, ensuring a safe and smooth boarding process.
Utilize airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information, staying up-to-date on the latest flight information and passenger requirements.
Able to stand and work in one location for up to four hours at a time, maintaining a high level of energy and focus in a fast-paced environment.
Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport, providing personalized support and ensuring their safety and comfort.
Work independently without direct supervision, taking initiative and making decisions to resolve any issues that may arise.


Essential Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language, with excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
Possess entry-level computer skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
Able to stand for long periods of time, with the ability to occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
Must pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a flexible schedule and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service, preferably in an airport or aviation environment, with a strong understanding of passenger needs and expectations.
Knowledge of airline computer systems and procedures, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
Ability to speak multiple languages, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
