This role will be instrumental in enabling data-informed decisions, driving business growth, and enhancing the overall experience for our guests, hosts, and agents. The Community You Will Join As an Advanced Analytics Lead, you will be part of the Advanced Analytics family, working closely with Product and Business leaders within our Community Support (CS) organization. Your expertise will help us better understand our community's needs, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted solutions to enhance their experiences. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, product managers, designers, and operations agents to achieve shared goals and foster a safe and trusted community. The Difference You Will Make In this role, you will: Serve as a data thought partner to product and business leaders, providing actionable insights, recommendations, and enabling data-driven decisions Drive day-to-day analytics, create scalable data tools, and identify pain points in traveling and hosting to improve experiences for our community Leverage Airbnb's rich data, state-of-the-art machine learning infrastructure, and central data science tools to build and grow the measurement capacity within the organization Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals, including engineers, product managers, designers, and operations agents A Typical Day As an Advanced Analytics Lead, your daily responsibilities will include: Leading and driving data-driven roadmaps for the CS working groups, recommending actionable solutions backed by data and metrics to product problems Building the business insights and reporting platform to detect and support the driving efficacy and efficiency of behaviors and product interfaces and processes across the CS platform and contact center network Performing data modeling of various entities and using tools and frameworks to optimize community and agent experiences Defining and evaluating key metrics in an unstructured problem space, including measurement of ML models that drive product development, and communicating a robust understanding of what moves these metrics and why Influencing data-driven decisions across business verticals through business reviews, scorecards, self-serve portals, OKRs, and planning Your Expertise To succeed in this role, you should have: A minimum of 10+ years of industry experience in business analytics and a degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research) Experience supporting community support and/or working closely with operations teams Expert skills in SQL and at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R), as well as experience with non-experimental causal inference methods, experimentation, and machine learning techniques Working knowledge of schema design and high-dimensional data modeling (ETL framework like Airflow) Ability to work under conditions of ambiguity in a fast-growth, sometimes uncertain and complex environment, with minimal planning, direction, and supervision Your Location This position is US-Remote Eligible, with the possibility of occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed upon with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You We offer a competitive salary range of $172,000 - $243,000 USD, dependent on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
