Job Summary Under general supervision, the Administrative Services Assistant will be responsible for performing a range of administrative tasks to relieve our executives of routine duties. This will include acting as a liaison between our office and various stakeholders, handling correspondence, making travel arrangements, and providing general administrative support. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to our executive team, including handling routine correspondence, making travel arrangements, and preparing non-routine correspondence as requested Act as a liaison between our office and various stakeholders, including the governor's office, departmental staff, and other state departments and agencies, local and federal agencies, and community organizations and groups Attend legislative functions and meetings as required to gain information and represent blithequark Handle complaints and requests from members of the legislature and other departments, citizens, and employees, as required Assign, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned clerical and other staff and their work, making recommendations on personnel actions as needed Prepare speeches, staff meetings, and other purposes, and take minutes at staff meetings as required Operate standard office machines and equipment as necessary, and order office supplies as needed Education and Experience The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub-professional experience or paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
