**Job Summary**

We are seeking a part-time administrative assistant to join our team in the Northern Region Parks Division. As an administrative assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our division, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth execution of administrative tasks. This is a seasonal position, requiring a minimum of 24 hours per week, with the possibility of extending into a full-time role.

**Key Responsibilities**

As an Experienced Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:

* Answering telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff member or department
* Typing correspondence, including memos, letters, and other documents from handwritten notes and finalizing documents from typed draft documents
* Tracking responses and deadlines, sending out email reminders, and scheduling meetings
* Performing data entry in Excel spreadsheets
* Scanning and faxing documents
* Filing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
* Ordering office supplies and managing inventory
* Providing exceptional customer service and support to staff, visitors, and stakeholders
* Performing other general administrative duties as needed

**Essential Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A High School Diploma or GED
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in the administrative field
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

**Preferred Qualifications**

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

* Bilingual in English and Spanish
* Experience working in a park or planning agency
* Familiarity with park and planning regulations and policies
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Access and PowerPoint
* Experience with data entry and record-keeping software
