Job Summary As an Administrative Assistant II to the Director of Teaching and Learning, you'll provide a full range of administrative support services to ensure the smooth operation of our department. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Director of Teaching and Learning, including preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations. Maintain a variety of files, records, and logs, including financial and statistical data. Operate a range of modern office equipment, including a personal computer and related software. Communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners through verbal and written communication. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Work independently with minimal direction, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A High School diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of prior clerical experience, with 3 years of experience in a school district preferred. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Excellent record-keeping techniques and attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Proficiency in operating a range of modern office equipment, including a personal computer and related software. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in an educational setting or supporting a senior leader. Familiarity with State Education Code and other applicable laws. Knowledge of district organization, operations, policies, and objectives. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
