Key Responsibilities Teach mathematics courses using engaging instructional methods and techniques that promote student involvement and application of the material. Create comprehensive lesson plans that align with course objectives and institutional guidelines. Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines, and evaluate student progress in achieving course objectives. Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required, and participate in course and curriculum development, revision, and evaluation. Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance and academic performance. Perform effective teaching activities, including classroom instruction, directing projects, and assisting with student coursework, research, and internships. Plan, develop, and present organized classroom instructions and learning opportunities for students in accordance with approved course outlines. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications Master's Degree in Mathematics or a related discipline, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics. Experience in teaching/tutoring mathematics, with a preference for experience in higher education. Ability to work under stress, independently, and as a team member. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with students in a professional manner. Proficiency in computer operation, multimedia classroom instruction software, and a willingness to learn new computer software. Preferred Qualifications Experience with learner-centered and high-impact instructional methods. Familiarity with educational technology and innovative teaching practices. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mathematics education.
