As a Remote Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our Corporate Expense Division, working closely with Senior Duty Bookkeepers to ensure the smooth execution of daily accounting and tax operations. About the Role This position is responsible for a wide range of bookkeeping capabilities, including participating in the monthly accounting close cycle, preparing repetitive monthly journal entries, and arranging general ledger account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger data analysis and the ability to create monthly data files that reconcile to the general ledger for our co-source tax compliance vendor. Key Responsibilities Prepares and analyzes income and financial statement articulations, consolidated statements, and other accounting proclamations and reports. Reviews and checks the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to various accounts. Applies sound accounting principles and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures. Instructs or assigns work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other stakeholders to participate in daily accounting exercises. Coordinates accounting matters with different offices, locations, and divisions. Participates in financial reporting. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet our minimum capabilities, which include being at least 18 years old and legally allowed to work in the US. We prefer candidates with: 3 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in high-level data and skill using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with general ledger software like SAP or similar software. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team climate. The capacity to manage and execute multiple tasks. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role are typically acquired through the completion of a four-year certification program or comparable degree in a field of study connected to the job. A minimum of 2 years of work experience is also required. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Financial analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in computer applications, such as Excel, Access, General Ledger, etc. The ability to multitask and balance multiple high-priority tasks.
