Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Academic Tutor/Behavioral Coach to provide direct support to students and their families in areas such as academic support, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, or emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one coaching and tutoring support to students of all ages, tailored to their individual needs and goals Prepare engaging lessons and activities to promote academic, social, and emotional growth Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, schedules, and sessions Track student progress and update our goal-tracking system in a timely and efficient manner Submit worked hours and maintain ongoing availability in our scheduling system, TutorCruncher Update client goal progress in our Goals Portal, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral, social, or emotional challenges Available to work at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with occasional morning and weekend hours Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Familiarity with online management platforms and strong communication skills in multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.) Ability to commit to a client for a minimum of six months and work independently as well as part of a team Reliable transportation and a valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or higher in a related field, with a focus on special education, counseling, or psychology Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other special needs Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions, such as positive behavioral supports and cognitive-behavioral therapy Experience with online learning platforms and educational software, such as TutorCruncher and Goals Portal Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse families and students Skills and Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by students and families, with a non-judgmental and supportive approach Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and resilient mindset Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date on best practices and research-based interventions Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Club Xcite, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff members.
