We're proud to offer a culture that values compassion, professionalism, and continuous learning. Job Overview We're seeking an experienced ABA/Autism Therapist to join our team in Asheville, NC. As a Behavior Therapist, you'll play a vital role in delivering in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum. Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and families, and is committed to helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy to children with autism, implementing behavior support and treatment plans established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions, and work collaboratively with your BCBA supervisor to inform treatment decisions Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in ABA therapy Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism in all aspects of your work Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality services Essential Qualifications High School diploma or GED required 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably in ABA or a related field Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to professionalism Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification required; we offer assistance with certification for the right candidate Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families Previous experience working in ABA therapy, or a related field, is highly valued Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and professionals Ability to work independently, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering person-centered care Career Growth Opportunities At Key Autism Services, we're committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our team members. You'll need to be able to: Lift up to 35lbs Perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time Respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children Work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with flexibility to adapt to changing environments Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
