Job Summary We are seeking an experienced ABA Behavior Therapist / Behavior Technician to work with children and families in the Charlotte area. As a Behavior Therapist, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with ASD, implementing behavior support and treatment plans, and collecting data on behavior and skill acquisition. You will work collaboratively with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to deliver high-quality care and support to our clients. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with ASD in their homes Implement behavior support and treatment plans developed by our BCBAs Collect data on behavior and skill acquisition during therapy sessions Work collaboratively with our BCBAs to deliver high-quality care and support Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards a degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) Experience working with children in a 1:1 setting for at least 1 year 1-year experience in ABA or a related field (or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor) Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families Experience working with children with ASD Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities At Key Autism Services, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
