Executive Leadership Coach – Confidential Engagement

A transportation and logistics company is seeking an experienced executive coach for a confidential leadership development engagement. The coach will work with a senior operations leader to develop communication skills, leadership effectiveness, and performance management capabilities.

This engagement follows an internal workplace review and requires a coach experienced in corrective-action contexts who can build trust while driving measurable behavioral change.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct an initial leadership assessment to identify development areas
• Design and deliver a 90-120 day coaching plan with clear milestones
• Facilitate regular coaching sessions (weekly or bi-weekly)
• Provide documented progress reports to company ownership
• Coach on communication style, feedback delivery, and conflict management
• Educate on employment law fundamentals relevant to supervisory roles (retaliation, documentation, performance management)
• Support the leader in building a more collaborative and psychologically safe team environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Credential: SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, ICF PCC, ICF ACC, or equivalent professional coaching/HR certification
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of executive coaching experience
• Leadership Level: Demonstrated experience coaching C-suite, VP, or senior operations leaders
• Context: Experience with coaching in corrective-action, performance improvement, or post-investigation contexts
• Documentation: Ability to provide written progress assessments suitable for company records

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in blue-collar, transportation, logistics, trucking, or manufacturing industries
• Familiarity with Oregon employment law
• Experience coaching leaders with military or "command and control" leadership backgrounds
• Background in HR, employment law, or organizational psychology

ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT

The company has approximately 60 employees. The leader being coached is highly experienced in operations and respected for industry knowledge. The development need is focused on interpersonal leadership style, not technical competence.

This is a confidential engagement. Candidates must be comfortable maintaining strict confidentiality and working directly with company ownership.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $29.60 - $35.65 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
