We are looking for a Regulatory Product Owner to be part of a team that helps ensure providers, patients and systems in the EverHealth portfolio stay compliant in an evolving digital health landscape. EverHealth provides modern end-to-end solutions that help simplify the business of healthcare. Their solutions streamline day-to-day healthcare practice operations, improving provider and administrative workflows, and modernizing engagement with patients. They serve General Practitioner, Select Medical Specialties, and Behavioral Health customers. Position Overview

As the Regulatory Product Owner, you will partner with the Regulatory Product Manager to drive delivery of health IT products and features that meet evolving regulatory requirements such as ONC HTI-1, USCDI v3, FHIR APIs, DEA, HIPAA, and other compliance mandates. This role is essential in translating complex regulatory standards into clear, executable product requirements and ensuring our development teams build compliant, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Backlog & Requirements
• Own and manage the product backlog for regulatory and compliance initiatives.
• Assess and interpret regulatory requirements to support both new product development and updates to existing features.
• Translate federal and state regulatory requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with regulatory Group PM, PM, compliance and legal teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with mandates (e.g., CMS, ONC, OCR).
• Work with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and execution of features (e.g., Electronic Prescribing Workflows, FHIR API endpoints, CCDA generation, audit logging).

Cross Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with UX/UI to create product designs that meet regulatory requirements and use cases.
• Partner with QA to define and validate test cases for certification criteria and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with external vendors (e.g., Surescripts, Dynamic Health IT) when regulatory workflows involve third-party integrations.

Delivery & Compliance Tracking
• Support project and release planning for regulatory milestones and deadlines.
• Coordinate support for ONC certification testing or compliance attestations.
• Monitor and report progress on regulatory deliverables across sprints.

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager in a health IT or regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of key healthcare regulations: HIPAA, ONC Certification (HTI-1/USCDI), CMS Interoperability Rules, FHIR, CCDA, DEA, etc.
• Experience writing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong collaboration, communication, attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting ONC certification, DEA or regulatory audits.
• Scrum Master
• Prior work with APIs and standards such as HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, OAuth2.
• Background in healthcare IT, EHR/EMR systems, payer/provider solutions, or public health tech.

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States - if you're close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
