Role Overview We are seeking a Data Engineer I to support the development and maintenance of our modern data platform. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to grow their career in data engineering. You will work closely with senior data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to help deliver reliable and high-quality data. This role focuses on learning best practices in data engineering while contributing to building scalable data pipelines and supporting analytics use cases. What You’ll Do Assist in building and maintaining batch data pipelines Support data ingestion from internal and external sources Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and validation Help develop and maintain workflows using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow Support data modeling and transformation efforts using DBT Monitor data pipelines and assist in troubleshooting issues Contribute to data quality checks and validation processes Work with structured and semi-structured datasets Collaborate with analytics and business teams to support reporting needs Document data processes, pipelines, and best practices Learn and apply modern data platform tools and technologies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Basic knowledge of SQL and Python Understanding of data structures and databases Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Willingness to learn new tools and technologies Good communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have Exposure to tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, or Databricks Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) Familiarity with data warehousing or Lakehouse concepts Internship or project experience in data engineering or analytics Understanding of data quality and testing concepts Where This is a fully remote, US based position with minimal to no travel required. The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
