We are a leading nonprofit biotechnology organization focused on discovering and developing effective treatments. Our work is powered by a passionate network of global supporters, united in the mission to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by this devastating disease. We are looking for an organized and personable Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the planning and execution of our signature fundraising events, including our annual Trek and Gala, as well as support over 70 community-hosted events each year. This full-time, hybrid position offers 80% remote work with one required day in the office each week (Wednesdays).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: (55,000–)60,000/year.

Skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think critically and stay calm under pressure
• Strong customer service skills when working with donors, sponsors, and volunteers
• Experience with event planning software and databases is a plus
• Physical ability to assist with event setup, including lifting up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities
• Lead project management and logistics for our signature fundraising events
• Support and oversee community-hosted third-party events
• Collaborate with teams across marketing, finance, development, and IT
• Manage and track the Events Department’s budgets
• Assist with sponsor outreach and recruitment
• Foster and build relationships with key event stakeholders
• Develop and introduce new creative fundraising event concepts
• Assist with planning and executing internal company events
• Stay updated on trends in healthcare and fundraising
• Travel as necessary to support event needs

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, nonprofit events, or hospitality
• A deep passion for the mission of ending disease
