Event Support Specialist - Part-Time Contractor

The team develops internal and external messaging for the company’s brand and solutions, ensuring that Basis remains a top player in the ad tech industry..WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTEAs the Event Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in helping us execute impactful events and marketing programs. Reporting to the Field Marketing & Events Manager, you’ll help ensure events run smoothly, from pre-planning to post-event wrap-up.Your responsibilities will include: WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE Must be based in Chicago with reliable transportation2+ years of event planning or marketing support experienceStrong organizational skills and keen attention to detailAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teamsAdaptive, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skillsExperience coordinating and executing both virtual and in-person eventsComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking on a variety of responsibilitiesProficiency with event management systems is a plus WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Primarily remote role, with the expectation to work from the Chicago office a few times a monthExpected schedule: Monday through Thursday, 15–25 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours during peak seasons (spring and fall)Travel within Chicago for in-person events, and ability to travel out of state for select events 1–4 times per year
